{"id":809,"date":"2012-02-17T12:36:46","date_gmt":"2012-02-17T18:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/freemanart.com\/index.php\/?p=809"},"modified":"2012-02-17T12:36:46","modified_gmt":"2012-02-17T18:36:46","slug":"freeman-wins-2nd-3rd-place-at-equine-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.freemanart.com\/?p=809","title":{"rendered":"Freeman wins 2nd &amp; 3rd Place at Equine Exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"attachment wp-att-810 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/freemanart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/anyx-48-x-60.jpg\" alt=\"anyx-48-x-60\" width=\"500\" height=\"397\" \/>&#8220;Anyx&#8221; 48&#215;60 mixed media painting won 3rd Place Award at the Equine Exhibition, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojaiartcenter.org\" target=\"_blank\">Ojai Art Center<\/a> and &#8220;Aulun&#8221;, 34&#8243; ceramic sculpture received 2nd Place Award.\u00a0 The exhibit runs through February 29th.<\/p>\n<p>Equine Collector, Art Advisor, Ventura Gallery owner, Sylvia White had the honors of being the judge and selecting the 3 awards for the exhibition.\u00a0 First place award went to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EhGBs79sB60\" target=\"_blank\">Kate Hoffman<\/a> for her &#8220;Red Horse&#8221; painting and there are several honorable mentions including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hkh2UFGjjl8\" target=\"_blank\">Sylvia Raz<\/a>, Bruce Tomkinson, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WKR7Jq2b544\" target=\"_blank\">Amadea Bailey<\/a>, Ray Brown, Mary Ogle and Susannah Sofaer Kramer.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition fundraiser for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theequinesanctuary.org\" target=\"_blank\">The Equine Sanctuary<\/a> has raised almost $500 so far with a fabulous award reception and the very talented <a href=\"www.myspace.com\/thepreacherblues\" target=\"_blank\">Preacher&#8217;s Blues Band<\/a> performing with wine donated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boccalis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bocalli&#8217;s<\/a> and Trader Joes.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"group-photo\" rel=\"lightbox[pics809]\" href=\"http:\/\/freemanart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/group-photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"attachment wp-att-811 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/freemanart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/group-photo.jpg\" alt=\"group-photo\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Photo from left to right Sylvia Raz, Amadea Bailey, Alexis Ells, Valerie Freeman and Kate Hoffman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Anyx&#8221; 48&#215;60 mixed media painting won 3rd Place Award at the Equine Exhibition, Ojai Art Center and &#8220;Aulun&#8221;, 34&#8243; ceramic sculpture received 2nd Place Award.\u00a0 The exhibit runs through February 29th.
