{"id":535,"date":"2010-12-05T00:11:31","date_gmt":"2010-12-05T06:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/freemanart.com\/index.php\/?p=535"},"modified":"2010-12-05T00:11:31","modified_gmt":"2010-12-05T06:11:31","slug":"ojai-center-for-the-arts-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.freemanart.com\/?p=535","title":{"rendered":"Ojai Center For the Arts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>COLD WINTER DAYS * COLD WINTER NIGHTS\u00a0 Dec. 4- Jan. 6, Reception Dec. 5th,\u00a0 from 1-3pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Give the artists an unjuried theme show and the results are a diversity of texture, techniques, subject and emotions; all reflecting the creative strengths of Ojai.\u00a0 The installation was a bit of a challenge to hang because of the variety and quantity of pieces but after several configurations, fine tuning and with the patience of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojaifranklinart.com\/ojaifranklinart\/Welcome.html\" target=\"_blank\">Richard Franklin<\/a> assisting with the installation, the show at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojaiartcenter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Art Center<\/a> is exquisite.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"attachment wp-att-536 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/freemanart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/ojai-art-with-michele-web.jpg\" alt=\"ojai-art-with-michele-web\" width=\"500\" height=\"269\" \/><br \/>\nMichele Pracy, the fabulous new Director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojaivalleymuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ojai Valley Museum<\/a>, enthusiastically selected the top Coldest to Cool Awards for this season&#8217;s open unjuried exhibition.<br \/>\nColdest (1st Place) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ojaistudioartists.org\/karen_lewis\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Karen Lewis<\/a>, Winter Chairs, oil on canvas,\u00a0 in above photo.<\/p>\n<p>Colder (2nd Place) Marilee B.
